The tall fir stands in grandeur, fringing the crests of some of the most spectacular, silent and splendid landscape in all the wide world. Nordmann Fir Fact
The evergreen coniferous Nordmann fir typically grows to around 60m tall with a trunk diameter of up to 2m. In the Western Caucasus Reserve, some specimens have been reported to be 85m tall, the tallest trees in the Caucasus, Anatolia, the Russian Federation and the continent of Europe.
