"Letters are among the most significant memorial a person can leave behind them."
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Did they drink tea in Athens? No, but they should have, they would have loved it.

Time for tea. The kettle goes on, the teapot comes out, one spoon for the pot, one spoon for you, one spoon for him, one spoon for her, one spoon for someone else that might come along, and now we wait. Ah, look at that refinement of sensibility, the culture that springs from sitting around a little while and just thinking; the white figures recline on the Wedgwood blue and offer up the fruits of the earth. If there is a little silence, that might be lovely, if there is a little talk, that may be lovelier still. But enough of all this philosophy, the tea is ready.

Perhaps the delicacy of first flush Darjeeling suggests a name; perhaps a lazy afternoon needs a splash of gently caffeinated colour; perhaps you want to remind a friend that teatimes ought to be shared: write them a letter.
